Didn’t have much company from British runners in Boston on Monday: over 150 of the 200 runners registered failed to make it to the start line, presumably because of the volcanic ash cloud. (Check this chart for Countries of Residence Represented and you’ll see that many hundreds of European runners were clearly unable to get on a plane. My sympathies.) So it was nice to see, last night, the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart make full use of resident Brit (and funniest man in America?) John Oliver to discuss the First Ever British Prime Ministerial Televised Debate, or whatever it was they decided to call it. Yes, we get our news analysis from Comedy Central. Cheers.
