Just in time for Christmas – and right on time for Shona’s birthday – I’ve finally sorted through the Apocalypse photos from 1982 and am pleased to introduce two new pages of the Apocalypse scrapbook: 60 pictures that may or may not twist your melon (man), depending on whether you were part of the clan. You can see these additions to the Apocalypse photo pages here, and here.
Also uploaded, two brief video clips from our show at the Fair Deal in the foyer of what is now the Brixton Academy, on the 5th August 1982. And yes, that was a long time ago. You can see a clip of ‘Going Up In The World’ here, and ‘Release’ here. Thanks to Jeff for compressing the video and helping sort through the photos.
There is also a full MP3 of ‘Dark Side Of Town,’ the final Apocalypse recording and the only song written by Tony Page to make it to the studio, available here. Please feel free to download it if you know how. More Apocalypse MP3s can be found at the Apocalypse music page here.
Happy Birthday to iJamming! Pub Landlady Shona who, in case other pub regulars are unware, was also Landlady of the Apocalypse “fan club” Revelations back in the day. And happy birthday to Apocalypse singer and guitarist Tony Page, who will be 40-something on Christmas Day.
The Apocalypse album Going Up In The World was released earlier this year by Cherry Red Records and is available online through amazon.co.uk, Cherry Red, amazon.com
Also available through iTunes USA and iTunes Europe. Though we say so ourselves, we’re damn proud of it.
