I Witness: Hudson Winter Walk

The annual Hudson Winter Walk took place Saturday December 5. As always, shop windows were dressed to the nines, citizens wandered the streets in period costumes (and in the case of my wife, a crochet costume), reindeer came to visit and there were enough Santas on hand to staff a factory. (How can I convince my 4-year old that Santa Claus is for real if he meets one on every corner?) I particularly liked the female Santa, in fishnet stocking, singing karaoke in a shop window. I only wish my photo of her came out a little better.

Oh yes, and it snowed. Heavily. Pretty much all day. I guess that’s why they call it the Winter Walk.

IMG_3762 Yes that’s a real Reindeer. And yes, that’s real snow on the lens.
