Is That A Pig Flying Past The Window?
A couple of years ago, I was interviewed by the BBC TV for a Living Famously show about Keith Moon. You may remember it as the one that was abruptly pulled off the air the day of broadcast after the scandal erupted around Pete Townshend and Internet Child Porn. I went on the war path about this, not because I care about being on TV, but because I couldn’t understand what Pete Townshend’s personal problems had to do with a show on Keith Moon, because surely a man is innocent until he’s proven guilty and because, besides, isn’t the BBC the bastion of independent reporting and above all this?
In the ensuing months, I’d completely forgotten about the show. The BBC has not. Living Famously: Keith Moon will finally air on Friday November 24th on BBC 2 after the Jools Holland show, at 00:45am. Let’s hope it does the great man some justice.
