Keith Moon: Final 24
Keith Moon is the subject of the Biography Channel’s “Final 24” series, to be premiered tonight, Wednesday 23rd, at 11pm EST (8pm PST) with a repeat performance four hours later. There’s (a little) more info here:

Full disclosure: I took part in this show. I was nervous about doing so, as I’ve seen Keith’s life and death distorted on previous TV and radio shows, and I had particular concerns about the focus on the last 24 hours of his life. While being interviewed, I tried to back off the focus on Annette’s claim that Keith took cocaine the night he died; given that we only had her word to go on (not that she had any reason to make that up), and that it was not mentioned in the post-mortem, I really hope it doesn’t become the mainstay of the program. I will say that the director/producer was a major Who fan and a young one at that – in fact, he looked quite the mod. Anyway, I’ll tape it tonight and watch it tomorrow. Here’s hoping for the best.
PS: While I have everyone’s attention, I’m constantly asked about the Mike Myers/Keith Moon movie. I can sum it up in a few words: Yes, my book got optioned. No, I am not more closely involved than that. No, it is not yet in production. It is very much still just in development. I doubt if there will be any new news to report on it before the summer.

Keith Moon did not look like this the day he died, sad to say.
