STILL ON THE SUBJECT OF BEER

"Stewing in my own alcoholic juices, I flipped open my phone scanning the names of people who might be out and about. I realized that I hadn’t talked to many of them in quite some time and felt weird about calling them up. Then I stumbled across a name I didn’t recognize and shot an anonymous message off into space. The girl on the other end didn’t remember me either, but nonetheless decided to meet up. She was going to a rooftop and told me to meet her. I left, grabbed my bike and headed over, stopping to pick up a six pack along the way."

Greg The Boyfriend (I think that might be Greg the ex-boyfriend) uploaded his first post in four months this morning – and moments later, I visited his site for the very first time, on a total whim, surfing in from another site’s links. How weird is that? So weird I don’t want to think too much about it. And so’s the rest of his post – which is actually more like a short story. If the above quote has you intrigued, believe me, it gets better. It’s amusing, endearing and pathetic at the same time – and any hundred thousand New Yorkers will recognize a part of themselves therein.
