The Debate In Short
Thanks to my friend Lisa for forwarding this link first thing this morning. The similarities are uncanny!
Neil Hefti, composer of the Batman theme – covered during its time by The Who, The Jam and more recently, my little boy Noel – died this week, aged 85. More here.
And assuming you care about these things, forget the polls about who won this debate or that debate, and whether Obama is 4 points up in the polls or 10 points up. That’s not how it works, no more than the British public directly elect their Prime Minister. Check this map, which is being constantly updated, and see how the Electorial College pans out according to an average of all non-partisan polls. 270 is the magic number. As I write, on October 16, Obama has 249 firm and 37 leaning his way, with another 94 considered still “up for grabs.”
PS: More detailed music/books/films/tv coverage at iJamming! will hopefully be resumed once I’m done with the book.

Wow Tony that is wild! Especially loved – “waddling, crackpot politician” from Robin – although McCain’s grin is more like the Joker sometimes.
Sad to hear about Neil Hefti’s death. A classic theme.
Cheers
