The iJamming! Download: Remix special

I’m up and down to NYC a couple of times this week and my creative writing is focused on a specific project, so rather than abandon iJamming! to the elements, I may as well take advantage of all the MP3s and stream coming my way and turn you on to more great music. It never ceases, my friends, it never ceases.

Consider this post a remix special.

Miss Kittin and The Hacker‘s new single “Party In My Head” is released June 19 on Nobody’s Bizness. Stream/download the remix by Parisian producers Thieves Like Us here.

The Beastie Boys‘ a capella track “BBoys In The Cut” showed up on this year’s ltd edition vinyl re-issue of their seminal third album Check Your Head. Stream/download the remix by Reading, Pennsylvania’s Innerpartysystem here.

Roy Davis Jr. , the Chicago DJ-artist-producer, enlisted Erin Martin to sing vocals on his house-R&B-disco anthem “I Have A Vision.” Stream/download New Yorkers The Juan MacLean‘s remix here

Violens came to some form of attention when they remixed Brooklyn megastars MGMT‘s “Time To Pretend” last year. The favor has now been returned. Stream/download MGMT’s remix of fellow New Yorkers’ Violens’ own song “Doomed,” from a forthcoming free remix EP, here.

Finally, and yes there does seem to be a New York emphasis going on here, Gotham’s own Cubic Zirkonia might have a summer dance-floor anthem on their hands with “Fuck Work,” released on the Savant Guard label founded by good friends of mine back in Brooklyn. Stream/download the appropriately-named Dam-Funk team’s remix here. And enjoy the video for the original version of the song here.
