Tower Bridge Sunset
…Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as Ray Davies’ Kinks classic about Waterloo Bridge, does it? But the architecture is a lot more stunning, that’s for sure.
This has been pretty much the view from my hotel room the last two days. Just wrapping up an absolute whirlwind 72 hour visit to England, which included Radio 4 shows in Manchester and London, a night out with a couple of close friends, and an inordinate amount of jetlag not helped by the rather foreign notion of trying to sleep on a moving tourbus. Off to hopefully enjoy a weekend in Greece at a festival headlined by New Order, after which I somehow get from London to Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon to see my mother and then fly back from Manchester to New York on Monday! Gathering up the usual thoughts, muses, rockin’ and shockin’ notions to post at the site with some more pictures and links as soon as I get the chance. Here are two to kick off the weekend.
What’s the deal with charging so much for wi-fi in London?
And, um, is there some kinds of sports tournament starting round these parts soon?
